BECOME ANOTHER MAN AGAIN

At the center of the image stands a figure in a suit, performing a magician's gesture. Cards move between the hands in a choreography of illusion. Yet the magician has no face. In its place appears the green plumbob from The Sims, the icon that marks the playable character in the game, the figure that seems to act freely while in reality being controlled by someone else.

The composition layers different visual references: the wise figures reminiscent of Bosch whisper from above, resting on a small cloud borrowed from the visual language of Dragon Ball. The rabbit from the magician's trick appears transformed into a dichroic object, no longer an innocent element of spectacle but a fragment of distorted reality.

These images belong to distant worlds, such as medieval painting, video games, anime and stage magic, yet they converge into the same structure: the illusion of autonomy.
